With the creation of our own creative shabbat worships for both Friday evening and Saturday morning, Touro has found a way to blend our history with the needs of worshipers today. Touro holds Shabbat worship every Friday night at 6:00 pm and Saturday morning at 10:30 am every weekend (except special events such as Jazz Fest Shabbat, ToSTY Shabbat and Summer Union Worship).

Normally held in our intimate Forgotston Chapel, worship is moved to our larger and historic main sanctuary when crowds are expected beyond capacity. We invite everyone to join in with prayers and music and remain after worship for an Oneg Shabbat in our Grant Meyer Garden Pavilion. Many times you may find yourself invited to a Congregational Shabbat dinner instead where a performer, speaker or guest will entertain us following the meal.

To find out more about the many worships Touro Synagogue hosts, click on Worship in the navigation bar or go to The Worship Page.

In addition to worships, Touro Synagogue members celebrate many life-cycle events with their congregation. Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Anniversaries, Birthdays and the not so joyous events that are part of all our lives are what Touro offers assistance with planning. In addition, we have a wonderful facility with a full catering kitchen, video capabilities and enough space to hold the largest of families.

Click on the Life Cycles tab in the Navigation bar to learn more about how Touro can help you or go directly to the Life Cycles page.

Join us for Torah Study every Saturday Morning

Every Saturday morning, 52 weeks a year, we invite you to join us for Touro Synagogue's Torah Study in our Mautner Learning Center. Study begins at 9:00 am and discussion is led by a different leader each week. The discussion is centered on the week's Parashah, which you will find listed below along with some additional resources for the study of Torah.Torah Study

A light breakfast of bagels, cream cheese, juice and coffee is served. No Hebrew knowledge or previous Torah Study experience is necessary. This is for both novices of Torah and experts. We hope you will stop by before our 10:30 am worship to join this lively group.
