Shabbat

With the creation of our own creative Shabbat worships for both Friday evening and Saturday morning, Touro has found a way to blend our history with the needs of worshipers today. Touro holds Shabbat worship every Friday night at 6:00 pm and Saturday morning at 10:30 am every weekend (except special events such as Jazz Fest Shabbat, ToSTY Shabbat and Summer Union Worship).

Normally held in our intimate Forgotston Chapel, worship is moved to our larger and historic main sanctuary when crowds are expected beyond capacity. We invite everyone to join in with prayers and music and remain after worship for an Oneg Shabbat in our Grant Meyer Garden Pavilion. Many times you may find yourself invited to a Congregational Shabbat dinner instead where a performer, speaker or guest will entertain us following the meal.
